Everything you need to know about experiencing Ghana with AfriMart International Travel & Tours.
We create passion-driven travel experiences in Ghana, including scheduled group experiences, private journeys, specialty travel, cultural experiences, faith-based travel, and custom itineraries. Our experiences are designed for travelers who want to do more than simply visit Ghana — they want to connect with it through something meaningful to them.
It means your interests help shape the experience. Instead of starting with a standard sightseeing itinerary, we look at what you love — whether that is creativity, faith, textiles, food, dance, history, music, wellness, photography, heritage, or another meaningful interest — and connect that passion to Ghana.
Not necessarily. While our itineraries may include important Ghanaian destinations and landmarks, our focus is on the experience itself. We want travelers to engage with Ghana, its people, culture, creativity, history, and communities in ways that feel personal and relevant to the purpose of their trip.
Our experiences are designed for a wide range of travelers, including individuals, couples, families, friends, churches, schools, universities, organizations, professional groups, and specialty communities. You do not need to have Ghanaian heritage to experience Ghana with us.
Yes. Custom travel is one of the ways we bring our approach to life. We can work with your group to build an itinerary around your interests, dates, group size, travel goals and preferred experience. This is particularly useful for families, churches, schools, universities, organizations and specialty groups.
Absolutely. That is the foundation of our custom experience approach. A trip can be built around interests such as crochet and fiber arts, dance, food, faith, music, textiles, photography, history, entrepreneurship, wellness, art, heritage or another passion. We look for meaningful ways to connect that interest with Ghana.
Yes. We can develop group experiences around the purpose of your organization. Depending on the group, an itinerary may incorporate cultural learning, heritage, faith, community connections, creative activities, educational experiences, or other goals identified during the planning process.
Start by completing our Plan Your Ghana Experience form. This gives us the information we need to understand what you are looking for and determine how we can help build your experience.
Our experiences can take travelers to different parts of Ghana depending on the purpose and itinerary. This may include Accra, the Central Region and Cape Coast, Kumasi and the Ashanti Region, coastal communities, and other destinations throughout Ghana.
Yes. Ghanaian culture, heritage and community connections are important parts of what we create. Depending on the experience, travelers may encounter Ghanaian food, textiles, music, dance, history, artisans, creative traditions, faith, markets, heritage sites and other aspects of everyday Ghana.
No. We offer both scheduled experiences and custom private travel. Our scheduled experiences bring travelers together around a particular theme or passion, while custom travel allows us to build an experience specifically around an individual, family or group.
Each scheduled experience has its own booking information, pricing, payment schedule, inclusions and travel details. Visit the experience page for the specific trip you are interested in and follow the booking instructions provided there.
Payment arrangements vary by experience. When a payment plan is offered, the applicable deposit, installment schedule and final payment deadline will be provided with that experience's booking information.
Inclusions vary from one experience to another. Depending on the trip, a package may include accommodations, ground transportation, activities, meals, special experiences, guides, transfers or other travel components. The individual experience page will identify exactly what is included and what is not.
Some experiences may offer a flight-inclusive option, while others are land-only. Travelers should review the specific experience details to determine whether international airfare is included in the package they are considering.
We recommend starting as early as possible, especially for larger groups, custom itineraries and travel during popular seasons. More planning time gives us greater flexibility when coordinating accommodations, transportation, activities, special experiences and other elements of your itinerary.
Yes. Our experiences can be designed for first-time visitors as well as travelers who already know Ghana. We help first-time visitors experience Ghana beyond simply moving from one attraction to another, while returning travelers can use our custom approach to discover something new.
